Wewahitchka

Wewahitchka is renown for two unique aspects — The Dead Lakes and the World Famous Tupelo Honey.

The city's Seminole Indian name means "water eyes" and a view from the sky above reveals why — two almost perfectly round lakes nestled into the heart of this community. The dead lakes offer some of the best freshwater fishing and a unique opportunity for all the nature loving photographers.

While you are in the big city you absolutely cannot leave without getting some of the world famous Tupelo Honey. Produced from tupelo gum trees only found locally along the Chipola and Apalachicola rivers, Wewahitchka's Tupelo Honey is wholesome and untouched, just as nature intended.
